A message from the instructors

Identification and distribution of reservoir facies is addressed in this module through recognition of log stacking patterns associated with grain size variations and hence sedimentary environments. Thickness and quality of identified reservoir intervals is quantified through a calculation of the shale / clay content of the logged interval.
